Manchester United have banned superstars
like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and
Wayne Rooney from swapping shirts with
other players after matches.
According to a source who spoke with the
Express UK, the players will not exchange
jerseys in order to save cash.
The announcement comes as a huge shock
as United are one of the richest clubs in the
world worth around £2 billion.
A source told The Sun: “They are asked not
to swap shirts so they don’t have to be
replaced. It seems daft given how much the
club is worth.”
“The owners have a reputation for keeping an
eye on costs.”
United who signed a £750million ten-year kit
deal with Adidas in 2014 have given all
players a shirt ration of two with short
sleeves and two with long sleeves.
The club splashed out £150million on new
signings for boss Jose Mourinho this
summer.
Any supporter dreaming of grabbing a Zlatan
Ibrahimovic or Paul Pogba shirt at games
might have to rethink.
According to the Express UK, if all
Manchester United players swapped shirts
the bill would be £660.
United’s stars are currently away from the
club on international duty but return this
week ahead of the Manchester derby on
Saturday.
