electricity cable belonging to the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) that connected News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Lagos Office, to the power line destroyed on Monday by some suspected vandals.
The Deputy Director of Technical Services of the agency, Mr Mathias Ajudua , said the act was discovered when the official of EKEDC came to repair their transformer thinking it was a fault from the transformer.
Ajudua stated that while the EKEDC officials were checking round the equipment, they discovered that two yards of cable that connected the agency to power line had been cut off by a vandal
Ajudua estimated the cost of the cable to about 200,000 Naira.
Eko DISCO should urgently assist the agency to repair the cable so that it would be connected back to national grid, He appeals to the management of Eko DISCO.
