Nollywood actress Ini Edo has urged budding and aspiring actors in Nigeria to jettison the idea of selling their bodies to land lead roles. The thespian, who was recently appointed the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Tourism, made the call during an interview with The Nation Online. Edo, said the importance of hard work cannot be wished away and that only with commitment and constant improvement can young actors make it big in the industry. “The primary advice I will offer any budding actor is that selling yourself for roles to a producer to get ahead does not work in the long run; not as well as hard work and talent,” she was quoted as saying.
