A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Kaduna State, Lawal Auwal Kontagora, has been murdered by unknown identified gunmen. Lawal, a graduate of one of the universities in Malaysia, according to reports, came back to Nigeria, to participate in the one-year mandatory service. The sad incident occurred when he went to visit a female friend with his other friend. They were inside a Peugeot 407 car with the lady when the gunmen suddenly moved near the car and asked them to open the door which they obeyed. When they alighted from the car, they were asked to go on their knees and bring out their mobile phones. It was in the process of going inside the car to get the phone, the killers thought the corner was trying to be smart. He was then, shot him at close range.
