Chevron Pipeline blown by Niger Delta Avengers

Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), one of the militant groups terrorizing Nigeria yesterday claimed the bombing of a Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) offshore export pipeline at Escravos, Warri South-West Local Gov. of Delta State. Their spokesman, self-styled Brig-Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, tweeted what the group said: “At about 3:45am, our strike team 06 took down Chevron Escravos export pipeline at Escravos offshore. ”This action is to further warn all IOCs’ that when we warn that there should be no repairs pending negotiation/dialogue with the people of the Niger Delta, it means there should be no repairs. Any attempt to use dialogue to distract us so as to allow the free flow of our oil will halt the dialogue process.” Before the militant group claimed the involvement of their hands in the attack, Ofe Nene, Chairman of Ugborodo Community confirmed the explosion, saying, “I do not have details of the incident, but a blast occurred last night at an offshore location.”

Avengers blows up another Chevron pipeline, rebuffs FG’s dialogue move

WARRI- NIGER Delta Avengers, NDA, today, said it would not negotiate with the Federal Government. The militant group, which blew up a crude oil pipeline belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, in the early hours today, tweeted: “This is to inform the general public that we are not negotiating with any Committee. If Federal Government is discussing with any group they're doing that on their own” It said on its twitter handle: “At 1:00am today, the @NDAvengers blow up Well RMP 20 belonging to Chevron located 20 meters away from Dibi flow Station in Warri North local government area.” A source told Vanguard that the affected crude oil pipeline is between Opia and Dagbolo villages in Warri North. The attack is in spite of the declaration of a two- week ceasefire 48 hours earlier by the Federal Government to create a window for dialogue with militants.
